Saying farewell to Page

Former staff and students said their goodbyes to the Page Middle School building that was severely damaged in last April’s tornado during a ceremony Friday afternoon in front of the school. The Gloucester County School Board voted last Thursday night to demolish the remaining structure of the school. Students are currently housed in temporary modular units adjacent to Gloucester High School. Above, Page principal Travis Burns offered a few words about the history of the school Friday and invited participants to join in a moment of silence to reflect on those injured or killed in last spring’s tornado. Participants then shared their own reflections, including the well-known rumor among students that a swimming pool was located on the roof of the school.
