Nine Mathews County churches will be open Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The tour is a benefit for the Mathews County Museum, in development over the visitor center. Tickets are $12, with children under 13 admitted free; and they must be purchased in advance.

Open will be Antioch Baptist Church at Susan; Central United Methodist, Mathews; Christ Episcopal on Williams Wharf Road; Ebenezer Baptist, Cobbs Creek; Emmaus Baptist, North; First Baptist, Mathews; Mathews Baptist, Hudgins; Trinity Episcopal, Foster; and Zion Baptist, Cardinal.

Each church will have members on hand to greet visitors, and some are expected to provide light refreshments.
