On Oct. 23, 2019, age 59, Sara Angevine Mellon of Hayes, was released from life.

Sara was a loving free spirit born on Jan. 25, 1960 in Rhode Island to Rosamond and William Angevine. She graduated from West Henderson High School, North Carolina, in 1978 and began a family of her own.

She dedicated many years to the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society. She was a gardener, animal rights’ advocate, and enjoyed traveling, especially to beaches.

In addition to her brothers and sister, Sara is survived by her daughters, Minnie and Jessie, and her four grandchildren.

Her family wishes to express their appreciation to her friends that homed her beloved pets and a special thanks to Karen Pollack Rose.

As per request of Sara, she will be buried in Rhode Island alongside her parents.

A Celebration of Life is tentatively planned for what would’ve been her 60th birthday this upcoming January.
