SAR meeting

The Richard Henry Lee Chapter of the Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution remembered the Gaspee Affair that occurred 250 years ago and retired more than 30 damaged and unusable flags in recognition of Flag Day during its June 14 luncheon at the Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club in Kilmarnock. The destruction of the HMS Gaspee in June of 1772 was arguably the start of the American Revolution.
