SAR meeting

The Richard Henry Lee Chapter of the Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution remembered the Gaspee Affair that occurred 250 years ago and retired more than 30 damaged and unusable flags in recognition of Flag Day during its June 14 luncheon at the Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club in Kilmarnock. Shown here, from left, Thomas Nelson Jr. compatriot Jeff Brown, RHL president Michael Rhodes, Cobbs Hall DAR past Regent Michele Tucker, and RHL compatriot Mike Lyman stand before flags to be retired.
