Samuel C. Cook Jr. of Hayes, departed this life on Monday, Aug. 26, 2019. Samuel was born on June 14, 1969 to Betty M. Cook and Samuel C. Cook Sr.

Sam was preceded in death by his father, Samuel C. Cook Sr., and his sister, Santita A. Green.

Sam is survived by son, Jalen S. Cook of Oxon Hill, Maryland; mother, Betty M. Cook of Hayes; sister, Kindra Jennings (James) of Newport News; nieces, Kayla Jennings, Emerald, Ashely, and Montrelle Green, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Friday Sept. 6, 2019, in the chapel of Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
