Gloucester’s Samaritan Group is in need of usable vehicles to help qualified county residents meet their transportation needs. The vehicles will help these residents meet their basic needs such as picking up groceries, going to medical appointments and simply getting to work.
“A vehicle can come in and make a difference to a whole family,” said Lester Sterling of the Samaritan Group.
Sterling mentioned that there are at least three clients currently waiting for vehicles.

The Samaritan Group, with the help of Harris Garage, Inc., in Hayes, can also help with the repair of vehicles for applicants who meet the financial and resident requirements for assistance.
Throughout the years, the Samaritan Group has helped local community members meet not only their transportation needs but also their basic needs.
