Sailing, swimming, tub races planned in North River regatta

The Annual Regatta in North River will be held on Aug. 15th this year and will include some water sports for which prizes are offered. In the sailing races there will be two classes as follows: Class 1: Open to all boats over 30 and under 42 ft., first prize, silver cup, and 2nd prize a 50-pound mushroom anchor.

Class 2: Open to all boats over 16 and under 30 feet, first prize, a silver cup, 2nd prize a dory compass. Time allowance 6 seconds to the foot for each mile of the course all measurements over all.

Water sports will embrace a swimming contest and a tub race in which each contestant is to furnish his own tub.
