The Five Rivers Woman’s Club held a game and card day in April, donating proceeds from that event recently to Sail Beyond Cancer, which honors those being challenged by cancer by harnessing the healing. The nonprofit aims to provide meaningful relief to cancer patients and their loved ones through the experience of a private sailing excursion. The sails can accommodate up to six people at no charge to the guests. A new chapter was recently started in Virginia.
