RUTH ANN JACKSON

Ruth Ann Jackson of Mobjack, passed away on Dec. 9, 2016.

Ruth was born in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 3, 1960 and was raised in Clinton, Maryland. She moved to Mathews County after her marriage to Gerald (Pal) Jackson.

She worked for Mathews County driving school bus 4 for 23 years, working part-time in the school cafeteria as well.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Palmer Cupp.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Goddard; son, Jacob Jackson; granddaughter, Alyssa Deagle, and special consideration goes to her longtime friend, Edwina Casey. She will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends.

Ruth was well known in the school system as well as the county. She was always at the school, or game fields supporting her kids, and when she wasn’t, she was fishing. She will always be remembered for her generous heart. Her memory will live on in shared smiles and hugs.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 17 at the West Mathews Civic Center at 11 a.m. to celebrate her life and memory. The Rev. Dave MacGruder will officiate.
