The Abingdon Ruritan Club will hold a free community shred event from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, at the club grounds at 8784 Guinea Road, Hayes. People are invited to bring their personal documents, hard drives, data media and other sensitive material to be shredded safely and securely to protect their identity. While there, the club invites the public to learn more about it and consider joining. “We’re looking for people who care about fellowship, goodwill, service and making our community stronger,” a release stated.
