Run for the Fallen

Run for the Fallen, a tribute to Virginia’s fallen military heroes and their families, passed through Gloucester last Thursday afternoon. Runners, shown here heading north on Route 17 at Scoot’s BBQ, Gloucester Point, traveled from Fort Story in Virginia Beach to Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, D.C., during their four-day, 250-mile trip. The runners took part in a special service at American Legion Post 75, White Marsh, later in the afternoon to remember Petty Officer 2nd Class David Roddy of Virginia Beach. The Legionnaires hosted dinner for the participants that evening. ...
