ROYAL ALEXANDER GORDON

Royal Alexander Gordon, 66, was born on December 3, 1958 in Williamsburg, Va. It was discovered that he went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2025 at his home in Gloucester, Va. He was a devoted son.

He accepted the Lord at an early age and was a member of Shepherdsville Baptist Church of Gloucester. He was a graduate of Gloucester County High School and completed a year of computer science training in Atlanta, Ga.

He leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Susie Gordan Gray (Walter) of Goochland, Va.; father, William (Bill) Drummond (Holly) of Gloucester, and five sisters, Evette Corbin (Bernard) of Philadelphia, Pa., Tammy Johnson and Sandy Pryor of Williamsburg, Naomi Henson of Hampton, Va., and Tasha Drummond of Gloucester; one brother, Chico Drummond (Anna) of Yorktown, Va.; one aunt, Loleta Boney of Philadelphia; five uncles, Allan (Cochise) Drummond, Harry Drummond, and Philip Drummond of Gloucester; George Drummond (Beverly) of Williamsburg, and Adrian Drummond (Muriel) of Philadelphia; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Among the many friends are Adrian Berry, Danny Dickey, Kenny Hazzard, Henry Holmes, Coral Stokes and Irma Thomas.
Royal was self-employed. He was a certified scuba diver and a mechanics and electronics enthusiast. He enjoyed working on cars, riding his motorcycle with friends, and learning about new technology. For many years, he took great pride in driving for Pete’s Wrecking Service.
