Roy Eldon Cosby of North, affectionately known as “Bubbie,” was born on August 28, 1946 to the late Edward and Henrietta Cosby. He died on Nov. 12, 2025.
He gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a devoted, lifelong member of Emmaus Baptist Church, where he faithfully served and loved singing with the Male Choir. Singing was one of his greatest joys. Even during his time of sickness, he often spoke fondly of his years in the choir.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Cosby; six sisters, and three brothers. Roy leaves to cherish his memory, two sons and one daughter, Darrell Cosby, one son (daughter-in-law) who requests to remain unnamed, and Connie Tillage; two grandchildren, Shanice and Jekhi; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nellie (Julesaint), Gloria (Orien), and Joyce, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His gentle spirit, love for music, and unwavering faith will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2025, at Emmaus Baptist Church, North. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Cosby may be viewed on Friday beginning at noon in the church.
