Rotary Rockfish Tournament to be held Dec. 14-15

The Mathews Rotary Club will hold its 13th annual Rockfish Tournament on Dec. 14-15, with proceeds going to support Mathews High School graduating seniors with scholarships for college or trade school.

The tournament will be held at Morningstar Marina, with weigh-in from 2-4 p.m. on both days. 

If you are interested in signing up your boat and anglers, a registration form and this year’s rules are posted on the Mathews Rotary Club website, www.mathewsrotaryclub.org, and click on the Rockfish Tournament tab.

This year’s chairman, Karl Braun, will greet participants at the tournament registration family-style dinner and raffle on Friday, Dec. 13, at the Piankatank Ruritan Club from 4 to 8 p.m. Tacos, burritos, and desserts, along with soft drinks will be served. Beer and wine will be available at the cash bar.
