Rosewell Ruins open house Saturday starts 2017 season

The Rosewell Plantation Ruins will open for the 2017 season on Saturday. The season starts with an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On that day, visitors can discover Rosewell with no admission fee, a release stated.

The new season brings new operating hours for Rosewell. The Visitor and Exhibit Center will now be open on Fridays and closed on Mondays. The Ruins will be open to the public six days a week: Tuesdays-Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Sundays from 1-4 p.m.

Operations officer Katrina White Brown noted that the change in hours will particularly accommodate guests from outside of Gloucester County who want to get an early start to their weekend.

“Many of our guests have wanted to visit the Ruins on Fridays but found us closed. This is a very exciting and needed change for us, plus we will also be conducting guided tours of the ruins twice a day on Fridays at 11 a.m. and again at 2 p.m.,” Brown said.
