Justin C. Russ of Gloucester was named Rookie of the Year at the 138th annual Virginia Funeral Directors Association Convention in Virginia Beach on June 9. Funeral directors who have received their license within the last five years are eligible to be nominated for this award. Russ is a graduate of John Tyler Community College (now Brightpoint Community College) with a degree in Mortuary Science.
