Ronnie Fulton Gilliam went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2026 at 11:40 a.m. at his home in Urbanna, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Frank and Edna (Stallard) Gilliam; brother, Robert Clark Gilliam, and sister, Carolyn (Sue) Posiask.

He is survived by his brother, Burton Gilliam and wife Bobbie; his brother-in-law Joseph Posiask; his aunt, Margaret (Tootie) Jordon, and cousin, Liz Roberts; nieces and nephews, David B. Gilliam (Teresa), Michael Gary Cecile, Josef Posiask (Amanda), Christopher Posiask (Sara), and Tony Posiask (Shannon). Ronnie is also survived by many great-nieces and -nephews, which he loved very much. He will be dearly missed by his many family members and his numerous friends.

Ronnie was a phlebotomist and part-owner of Insurance Paramedical Services, from which he retired in 2021. He was a very active member of Salem Community Church, serving as administrator of the Wickel Food Pantry at Salem Community Church, church secretary, men’s club secretary and participated in many of the church’s activities.

A memorial service will be held at Salem Community Church, 11408 Salem Church Road Gloucester, Va., on September 26, 2026 at 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow the memorial service, at the church’s cemetery. The women of Salem Community Church will provide lunch following the interment service. Guests are invited to attend and visit with the family.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Salem Community Church’s Wickel Food Pantry, of which Ronnie was a very active participant. These donations will help feed many members of our community.
