Ronnie Edster Coates, age 65, of Hayes, died at his home on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Ronnie, a native of Gloucester County, graduated from Gloucester High School and was the owner of Coates Construction. He was a Miami Dolphins football fan and enjoyed playing cornhole. Parents, Edster and Roxie Mise Coates, and brothers, Bobby, Tommy, and Richard Coates, preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Kellum (Nick) of Hayes; son, Eric Coates (Amber) of Hayes; grandchildren, Kelsey, Noah, Savanna, Jayden, Adam and Tristan; sister, Brenda Boyle of Dallas, Texas, and best friend, Thomas Bartley of Gloucester. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. A graveside service conducted by the Rev. Richard Croxton will be held at 2 p.m. in Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. He will be remembered for always having a smile and always making you laugh.
