Ronald Rice Pouchot, 80, of Kilmarnock, died on Aug. 3, 2018.

He was a Marine Corps veteran, a member of Kilmarnock Baptist Church, and past Chief for the Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department. 

He is survived by two children, Colette Hudson (Billy) of Kilmarnock, and Troy Pouchot of Gloucester; grandchildren, Rebecca, Mathew, and Joshua (Ashly) Hudson and Erika Wilmoth (Robert); great-grandchildren, Rylyn and Luke Wilmoth and Lydia Hudson; sister, Ginger Fagles (Richard) of Maryland; sister-in-law, Marian Pouchot of Gloucester, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Roberta W. Pouchot; his parents, Ed and Helen Pouchot, and his brother, the Rev. David Pouchot.

Ronnie was a retired salesman for T.W. Bonner, Inc. In his post retirement, he worked for Ransone’s Nursery. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at Kilmarnock Baptist, Kilmarnock. Interment followed the service at Woodlawn Cemetery. Family received friends 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
