RONALD LEE BAKER

Ronald “Ronny” Lee Baker, 74, of Grafton, passed away at Riverside Regional Medical Center on Oct. 18, 2013. He was surrounded in love by his family and friends.

Ronny was a welder at Newport News Shipbuilding for 38 years, and a member of New Hope Pentecostal Church. He was extremely dedicated to his family and friends. He had a huge heart and never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by mother, Josephine Baker; father, Murray Baker; brother, Murray Baker Jr.; wife, Susie Lee Baker; and stepsons, Hershel Belvin, Linwood “Bubbie” Belvin Jr. and Waverly “Raven” Belvin.

He is survived by stepdaughters, Uldine Jenkins, Shirley Kellum, Audrey Hogge, Romania Hartman and Roxy Bunch; companion, Bertie Walters; special niece, Tammy; special cousin, Wayne Worley; special friend, Wayne Thomas, and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Larry Jones was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
