Roger Dale Robbins of Hayes, died at the age of 66, Aug. 31, 2012.
A native of Gloucester, Roger was a lifelong waterman.
Mr. Robbins was a devoted family man as well as a man who loved the Lord. His family said, “Many times we would sit here while Dad played gospel songs for us on his guitar or he would be in his shed working with his hands, doing wood work.”
This loving man set the example for living life the way it was meant to be lived and he will be missed forevermore, loved by many, respected by all.
His father, Paul A. Robbins, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Mary E. Robbins; sons, William P. Robbins and Kate Grow, Nelson H. Robbins and Miranda Lyons, Robert A. Robbins and Anne Robbins, Charles D. Robbins; mother, Mary F. Robbins; brother, Charles E. Robbins and wife Jackie; six grandchildren, Shawn, Travis, Graham, Brittney, Brad and Kamron; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews to include, Ricky, Michael and Cindy.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Tommy Bunting. The family received friends at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point, Monday from 7-8:30 p.m.
