Robinson to play volleyball at John Wesley U

Mariah Robinson, a 2016 Mathews High School graduate, will play volleyball at John Wesley University, an NCCAA Division I school in High Point, North Carolina. She signed her commitment papers Sunday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Cobbs Creek.

Robinson has played volleyball for Mathews High School for five years, was an all-conference second team selection her junior year and a conference first team selection and team captain during her senior year. 

While Robinson was with the Blue Devils, they won the Conference 42 championship in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and the regional championship in 2014. The team was also the state tournament runner-up in 2014. 

Robinson, the 2016 MHS Female Athlete of the Year, was also selected to play in the 2016 Virginia High School Coaches Association’s All Star Game.
