ROBERT VANBUREN “VAN” FANSLER III

Robert VanBuren “Van” Fansler III, of Hayes, died Feb. 4, 2013 at the age of 60.

Van a mechanic by trade was hard-working and tackled any project he set his mind to. He had a love of the outdoors and fishing, enjoyed tinkering with his multitude of tractors, and was an animal lover of all kinds, shapes and sizes. He enjoyed gardening and will long be remembered for his collard greens and cabbage. He had a heart of gold that he tried hard to hide.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Fansler; three sons, Robert Fansler, Randy Fansler and wife Dawn, and Justin Fansler; two daughters, Michelle Richardson and Tara Burgess; sister, Wanda Fansler; brother, Wayne Fansler, and 17 grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends to remember Van on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, from 2-5 p.m. at the home, 3045 Guinea Circle, Hayes. Please come share “Van stories.”
