Robert Michael “Moose” West of Hayes, age 64, died at Walter Reed Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center May 4, 2021. Injured at an early age and wheelchair bound for 40+ years, he did not allow his handicap to limit his enjoyment of life. Mike enjoyed being an avid hunter, driving around in his father’s truck, being around the water, and spending time with friends and family. Preceded in death by parents, Raymond W. “Shakey” West and Mary C. “Tattine” West; sister, Betsy J. Belvin, and great-niece, Candice N. Morgan. Survived by sister, Clara W. Harris and husband Randy; brother, Raymond W. West and wife Beverly; brother-in-law, Carlton Belvin; two uncles, Frank West Jr. and Lawrence West; aunt, Catherine Langner; nephew, Brian Farris; nieces, Stephanie Carr, Michelle Kuzar, and Laura West; great-nephews, Brandon Rusk, Nichollas Rusk, Aaron Farris, and Caden Kuzar; great-nieces, Shanda Danielson and Cambrie Kuzar; great-great-niece, Cora Danielson, and numerous cousins and friends. A family service was conducted by Pastor Billy West on May 7, 2021 at Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery.
