Robert Haring French, 95, of Gloucester, died on Friday, March 3, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Hackensack, N.J. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Dorothy French, and a son, Robert Stuart French.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a retired Industrial Engineer. He was a former member of Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue, where he was an EMT and also had been the treasurer. He was a member of Grace Bible Church, where he had served as an elder.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Mary Adolph French; daughter, Barbara Jo Abbott; son, Thomas Edward French; sister, Mary Jane French; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

There was a graveside service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, at Grace Bible Church Cemetery, Ark.
Memorial donations may be made to Grace Bible Church.
