A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Robert (Rob) Gray Comerford, 61, of Amelia, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 in the auditorium of Amelia County High School. He died on Aug. 12, 2020.

Born in Roanoke, he was a 1981 graduate of Virginia Tech where he earned a B.S. degree in Poultry Science.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cathy Comerford; a daughter, Shannon Comerford; a son, Matthew Comerford; four siblings, Candy Mowles of Chesapeake, Kathy Oristaglio of Crewe, Karen Starr of Latta, South Carolina, and Larry Comerford of Lynchburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jane Gray Comerford (formerly of Gloucester) and Bob Comerford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any cancer research organization of choice.
