Robert E. “Bobby” Darnell, age 69, of Topping, died Monday, June 22, 2015.

He retired from the Chesapeake Corporation with 43 years of service, and was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Christine “Teeny” Darnell; a son, Jay Darnell (Angie); a brother, Wilbert “Woodles” Darnell; a grandson, Robert Aaron Darnell; a granddaughter, Melinda Sue Darnell, and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 25 in Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will be in Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Topping.
