May 22, 1954-December 12, 2025
Robert “Bobby” Green of Hayes, 71, passed away on the morning of Friday, December 12, 2025. Bobby was preceded in death by his father Edwin “Buck” Green; his brothers, William “Billy” Green and Christopher Ray Green, as well as his niece, Tanya Riddett. He is survived by his mother Mary Green; his wife of 50 years, Kathleen “Kat” Green; his son, Christopher Ray Green and his wife Jamie Schiavon; granddaughter, Kristin Green; brother, Gerald Green; sister, Patricia Ridett; aunt, Peggy Hughes and grand-dog, Daisy. He leaves behind numerous cousins and friends. Bobby was 10 years old when he got his first boat and loved being on the water clamming and oystering. He spent 21 years working on tugboats with most of these years on the “Barbary Coast” with Capt. Shelton Raye Foster whom he respected deeply. He loved all types of cars especially if they were fast and would build engines with his cousins Rodger Green and the Coberly’s. Bobby loved working on and building lots of different things. He took everything he did seriously and tried to do the best job he could. He valued his friends and family very much and would always make sure they had what they needed. Growing up he loved being with his brothers and his sister. He loved being a grandfather to his granddaughter Kristin and lit up whenever she would visit him. His passing has left a huge hole in our hearts and will be missed greatly.
We would also like to give a special thanks to everyone at the cancer center who helped care for him during his last few months with us.
A celebration of life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 2 p.m.
