ROBERT ‘BOB’ J. NARDOZZI

Robert “Bob” J. Nardozzi, of Gloucester Point, the maker of fine food, music, and mischief, passed away Feb. 15, 2019.

He was a local businessman, best known for his caterings, barbecues, and baked goods. An avid lover of the arts, Bob performed in the Chesapeake Chorale and Gloucester Choral Society. He was also an active member of the Court House Players, sang bass and played harmonica in Celtastrophe.

Bob was a longtime member of Bethany United Methodist Church, sang in the choir and supported several charitable organizations including the GUEST program, Helping Hands, the church bazaar, and many other events where he lent his culinary talents.

Bob taught his children to work hard, be ethical, and serve others. We will miss his sense of humor and celebrate the good times we shared.

Wife, Sally Sue Hayden Nardozzi preceded him in death.  He is survived by his three children, Christine Demetriades, Jenny Farkas, Jeremy Nardozzi, and four grandchildren.

A memorial service, conducted by the Rev. Mike Derflinger, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Bethany United Methodist Church, Gloucester Point.

The family requests friends consider taking in a show, supporting the local artists, or donating to one of the following charities in honor of Bob: Bethany United Methodist Church (music/choir or endowment), 1860 Hayes, Road, Gloucester Point, Va. 23062 or the Court House Players, P.O. Box 643, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
