Robert Andrew Fox, 61, of Hayes, Va., passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, one day before his birthday.

He was employed by Midlant Construction Co. at the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown as a construction manager with over 40 years’ service. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and sang tenor in the church choir.

Bob graduated from Union College in 1974. He had a great love for life that included his membership in the Hudson Car Association, and was an avid collector of antique clocks and watches. He loved history, science fiction, public radio and PBS, animals, and always was joking with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Romeyn R. Fox.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra S. Fox; daughters, Christina Fox Whitehill and her husband Benjamin Whitehill, and Kelly Fox; grandchildren, Kira Fox, Andrew Whitehill, and Gabriel Whitehill; his mother, Alice Kusiak Fox; brother, Alan Fox and his wife Bonnie, and his niece, Katie.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at 3 p.m. in Bethany United Methodist Church by the Rev. Deborah Marion.

Memorial donations may be made to either the Music Fund of Bethany United Methodist Church or to Gloucester- Mathews Humane Society.
