Road work next week in Gloucester

Crews will be placing stone along the shoulder of the road on Route 614 (Hickory Fork Road), from Route 606 (Ark Road) to Route 610 (Pinetta Road) from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. next Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Virginia Department of Transportation spokesperson Darragh Copley Frye said motorists are asked to be alert driving through that area and be aware of construction workers.

Also, this week crews were scheduled for paving and line striping operations on Route 14 in Gloucester, from the King and Queen County line to Route 17 (start of divided median) and on Route 14 in King and Queen County, from Route 33 (Lewis Puller Memorial Highway) to the King and Queen/Gloucester County line by the Poropotank River Bridge.
