Riverside RN recognized for coming to injured woman’s aid

To express her gratitude to the nurse that came to her rescue, Joyce Webb stopped by Riverside Walter Reed Hospital this week to surprise Registered Nurse Heather Thacker with some flowers and pizza as a way to say thank you.

In September, Webb fell in front of the Medical Office fracturing her wrist and femur. The injuries required surgery and physical therapy. It was Thacker who came to Webb’s aid when she needed it most.

“I will forever be grateful to Heather and the others who went above and beyond to assist me,” said Webb. “They will always be my heroes.”
