Riverside receives donation of 5,000+ face coverings

Riverside Health System recently received over 5,000 face coverings from health care consulting firm Advis, Inc., and made by ballroom gown seamstresses. The face coverings were distributed to the health system’s lifelong health facilities across eastern Virginia to continue efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19. The donations were from the Million Mask MOVEment, a cooperative effort of Advis and the Fred Astaire Dance Studios.

RHS continues to accept homemade face coverings from the community. Following guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the face coverings being made and donated should be 100 percent cotton.

Locally, donations may be dropped off at the main entrance to Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester any weekday.
