Riverside Health System expands its infectious disease clinic to Hayes location

Riverside Health System will expand its infectious disease clinic to Gloucester, it was announced earlier this month.Rebekah Sensenig, D.O., an Infectious Disease Specialist for Riverside Medical Group, will begin seeing patients in Gloucester on the first Wednesday of every month. Sensenig will hold morning office hours starting Dec. 2 at Riverside Hayes Medical Center. Riverside Hayes Medical Center is located at 2246 George Washington Memorial Highway.

“Right now, we have a large number of patients driving from Gloucester to Newport News for care,” she said. “By seeing patients at least monthly in Gloucester we hope will help our patients reduce their travel time for care, and further reduce barriers for them seeking the medical treatments they need.”

Sensenig said patients in need of treatment from an infectious physician typically suffer from conditions that include bone and joint infections, post-operative infections, pulmonary diseases, and HIV.
