Riverside continues to vaccinate despite weather delays

Riverside Health System had to reschedule 2,000 COVID-19 vaccination appointments due to last week’s winter weather.

According to Dr. Mike Dacey, Riverside Health System Chief Operating Officer and President, there was a postponement of vaccine distribution up and down the East Coast last week due to winter storms.

However, everyone who was scheduled to get their vaccine was able to receive it over the weekend.

Riverside continues to vaccinate those who qualify for Phase 1b and is unable to determine when Phase 1c individuals can expect to receive their vaccine. Riverside vaccinated approximately 100,000 health care workers during Phase 1a and 50 percent of those vaccinated were not Riverside employees.
