It didn’t take long for the weather in 2022 to turn nasty, as a cold front swept through the area on Monday, bringing heavy rains and (eventually) snow. This shot of Butler Creek in Hayes was taken after the morning’s high tide, but the wind kept pushing water into the creek. White caps were visible in the routinely calm creek, breaking on the submerged dock. The osprey nest appears to be floating on the water.
