Rick’s Cheese Steak Shop opens at Point

Rick’s Cheese Steak Shop opened a restaurant at Gloucester Point Shopping Center in late March. Catherine Pistone is president of the company and her husband, Rick, is vice president.

Rick Pistone said he is originally from Philadelphia and they offer cheesesteaks similar to classic Philly cheesesteaks. Choice steak is used, peppers and onions are featured, and the treat is all held together in buns made in Philadelphia. Customers have their choice of several types of cheesesteaks from classic to Italian with other meats and red sauce.

The menu features a selection of hoagies, with roast beef, corned beef, turkey and BLT among the offerings. All burgers are made fresh daily, he said, and they come with cheese, chili and other toppings. Hot dogs are also served, along with specialty sandwiches such as club, Reuben, open-faced cheesesteak and hot roasted turkey.
