Richmond attorney opens practice in Mathews

Larry Kessler recently began practicing law from his Bavon residence.

Kessler’s main office is in Powhatan. His wife, Merci, assists him as a paralegal at both offices; she is originally from the Philippines. Another paralegal also helps at the Powhatan office.

Kessler said he specializes in personal injury law. He handles motorcycle auto and boat accidents, tractor-trailer cases, wrongful death, slip and fall, workmen’s comp and medical malpractice cases.

Kessler has been practicing law in the Richmond area for about 40 years. They were visiting in this area, came upon a house they adored at Bavon, and decided to purchase it for their get-away home.
After serving three years in the Air Force’s Judge Advocate General Corps, Kess-
ler worked for a time with a small Richmond firm and then opened his own law practice. He has had associates at different times through the years.
