A funeral for Richard S. “Red” Miller, 66, of Gloucester, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6 in the Church of Abraham (formerly Smithfield Baptist Church), Gloucester. He died Feb. 26, 2021.

He was a native of Gloucester County and was a member of Smithfield Baptist Church where he served as an usher for many years. He was a retiree of the Naval Weapons Station.

Survivors include his children, Richard D. Miller, Joseph Miller and Lakia Elam; siblings, Everette L. Miller, Burnetta Lee-Mason and Maria Lee-Driver, and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Louisiana Miller Lee, and siblings, Ernest Lee, Glen Lee, Barbara Jean Wyatt, Marion Drummond and Christine Nichols.

A walk-through viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021, in Howard Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Face coverings, social distancing and COVID-19 mandates will be followed.
