Richard M. Elmore Sr., 78, of Gloucester, died Sept. 3, 2018.

He retired from Fort Eustis after 27 years and then continued to work for M&M Lumber Company.

He is survived by his wife, Karran Elmore; children, Loni Andrews, Richard M. Elmore Jr., Angela Dunston and Terrah Lynn Vyas; six grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; sister, Alice Mailloux, and brother, Larry Elmore.

A Funeral Mass conducted by the Rev. James Cowles will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, at Church of St. Therese, 6262 Main Street, Gloucester, Va. 23061. Entombment will follow in Windsor Gardens Mausoleum with military honors.
