Richard Lee Mabe, 69, of Gloucester, entered Heaven on June 11, 2017.

He was a graduate of Newport News High School, and served in the military.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus G. Mabe Jr. and Jessie C. Mabe.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Mabe; daughters, Kelly Matthews (John) and Kimberly Ray (Joshua); grandson, Jackson Lee; sister, Joyce Edwards, and a niece and nephew.

Memorial service conducted by the Rev. Doug Johnson will be at 6 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Inurnment will be private.

In Richard’s memory, the family desires contributions be given to the Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 1417, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
