Richard Carroll (aka Dick) Chaney, 62, of Hayes, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family. 

Dick was born in Hampton, Virginia, on Jan. 7, 1954 and was the son of the late Raymond and Virginia Chaney. 

Dick was a member of BridgePoint Church where he became an Ordained Elder of BridgePoint Church in Gloucester. He had retired from Gloucester Toyota in 2015 as finance manager after spending 36 plus years in the auto industry. He was the first one in Gloucester County to bowl a perfect 300 score. He loved bowling, fishing, the Redskins, his church and his family. 

Dick is survived by his wife, Beverly Chaney; his sons, Rick and his partner Jeannie, Jimmie and his wife Kerri, and Jason; his daughter, Jennifer and her husband Chris; six grandchildren, Sean, Christian, Cassie, Tristan, Evalyn, and Silver. He also had five extended grandchildren, Sawyer, Tim, Aimee, Ashley and Chris, and his brothers, Mike, John, and Ray, plus his loving brothers and sisters at BridgePoint Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, from 6:30-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at 11 a.m. at BridgePoint Church, 10487 Harcum Road, Gloucester, Virginia.
