Rice Brothers to perform in Concerts by the Bay show

Musical brothers Chris and Johnny Rice will perform at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, at Mathews High School in a Concerts by the Bay show.

The brothers are piano and cello virtuosos who have been playing and entertaining audiences for most of their lives. They have performed to critical claim on prestigious stages all around the world, said a press release, including as featured artists at the 2014 World Music Day Celebration in Warsaw, Poland.

The Rice Brothers feature a blend of classical music, ragtime, and boogie-woogie, said the release, along with providing a historical perspective of the great composers and the times in which they lived. Their concerts feature arrangements of classical favorites including, but not limited to, works by Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Gershwin, and many more.

Tickets at the door are $25 for adults, while youth through high school are admitted free of charge.
