The George Nelson Memorial Concert Series, Rhythm by the River, welcomes The Virginia Choristers at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, in the sanctuary of Bethany United Methodist Church, 1860 Hayes Road, Gloucester Point. Under the direction of Lynnelle Ediger-Kordzaia, the Virginia Choristers have expanded from a single choir to include numerous choirs in partnership with youth organizations throughout the region. The program provides singers in elementary through high school the opportunity to grow, learn and excel through quality instruction and experiences that emphasize the development of musical skills and understanding, a release stated.
