Rezoning sought for Patriots Grill restaurant

The Gloucester County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing about rezoning a parcel for business use on Main Street at 7:30 p.m. next Thursday, Jan. 7, in the colonial courthouse.

Patrick O’Carroll, representing 7313 Main Street, LLC, property owner, seeks permission to reclassify approximately 1.8 acres where Patriots Grill is located so that restaurant can add seats to accommodate additional diners.

According to the application, O’Carroll wants to change the parcel zoning from B-2 Village Business Conditional to B-2 Village Business.

The principal purpose of the application is to remove the condition on the property that limits the seating capacity of the restaurant to 35 people, a public notice said, and to allow for the expansion of the business as a by-right use in the B-2 District.

In addition, planners said removal of the proffers will allow future development and use of the site consistent with the B-2 zoning.
