Revolutionary War encampment

The 7th Virginia Regiment of the Continental Line, a Revolutionary War reenactment group, held an encampment over the weekend on the grounds of the Gloucester Museum of History on Main Street. The regiment gave demonstrations and provided a wealth of information to those who stopped by and observed their activities. Here, under the direction of instructor Sam Nuckolls (not pictured), local children learn the proper procedures for firing a cannon. Participants are, from left, Trinity Airis, Mari Powers, Cain Walls, Ladlynn Thomas (hidden behind Walls), and Zelena Jones.
