The Rev. Moonsup “Paul” Song, pastor of Bethany United Methodist Church at Gloucester Point, blesses Reverse Advent Bags received and dedicated on Dec. 19. Dee Dee Wike, church office administrator, said Reverse Advent is a term “signifying the practice of giving gifts during Advent rather than receiving them.” She said 67 bags of items were received and shared with Bread for Life Food Pantry, Union Baptist Church Food Pantry, GUEST Day Shelter, and the Salvation Army for needy families in the community.
