Rev. William Thomas Foxwell Jr. of Hayes, was born on Oct. 9, 1947 in Chowan County, North Carolina, to the late William T. and Ella Blount Foxwell. He slipped away into eternal rest on Tuesday, Sept.11, 2018.

He was married to the former Maggie McEachin of Maxton, North Carolina.

William retired from Gloucester County School System after serving as a science teacher for 32 years. He served as a pastor of Angel View Baptist Church, Lanexa in New Kent County for eight years.

He leaves precious memories to his wife of 50 years, Maggie Teresa Foxwell; one son, Michael T. Foxwell of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Wanya T. Kimble of Gloucester; one granddaughter, Yasmene Kimble of Charlotte, North Carolina; two brothers, Rudolph L. Foxwell (Cynthia) of Oxon Hill, Maryland, and Charles E. Foxwell (Pamela) of San Antonia, Texas; two brothers, Charles Brown of Colmar Manor, Maryland, and Willie McEachin (Brenda) of Rockingham, North Carolina; one uncle, George Blount (Thelma) of Norfolk, Virginia; three aunts, Evelyn Williams and Dorothy Blount of Edenton, North Carolina, and Emma Blount of Brooklyn, New York, and a host of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at 12 p.m. at the First United Baptist Church.

Memorial donations may be made to Gleaning Baptist Church Building Fund.
