The Rev. Shirley L. Dixon, 83, of Gloucester, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 14, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Shirley was preceded in death by her late husband, Herbert (Dickie) Dixon; daughter, Robin Foster; grandsons, Sammy Thompson and Chris Lowney; baby great-granddaughters, Brandi and Sara Edwards, Braelynn Thomas, three angel babies; sister, Mary Alice, and brother, Bobby Hudgins.

She is survived by her children, Stephanie Blaydes (Robert), Karen Hogge, Warren Dixon (Sharon); 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and sister, Betty DeAlba.

The family will receive friends on Dec. 27, 2025 between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., with funeral service following at noon in the funeral home, with the Rev. Norman Gallimore and the Rev. Mildred Mabe conducting. Burial will be in Shackelfords Chapel Cemetery.
