The Rev. Robert C. Painter, age 94, of Cobbs Creek, Va., passed away on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012. He had served in the United Methodist Church ministry since 1952.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta Painter; sister, Frances Ogden of Lynchburg, Va.; a son, Thomas Painter of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Melinda Edwards of W.Va.; a granddaughter, Kelly De Carvello of Geneva, Switzerland, and six loving stepchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at Mathews Chapel United Methodist Church, Cobbs Creek, with inurnment in Mathews Chapel Cemetery.
